It has been soooo long since I've blogged. I don't have the excuse of not having the time - I've just been exhausted - this last half of my pregnancy is really kicking my butt. As a matter of fact, as I type this I feel the need to go lay down - I'm having trouble focusing on what I want to say - so I'll come back in a bit once I've figured out exactly what I want to write about, because at the moment, I have like a zillion things in mind!

Place Your Guess!
Pretty much everyone these days is guessing when my son will be born... so I jokingly asked my sister the other day if she'd care to "put her money where her mouth is" and voila this idea came into fruition.
If you'd like to guess when baby "E" will be born - simply click on the link above and under purpose write your name and the your guess.
30% will go to the winning guess and 60% to baby's college fund!
$5 gets you a chance at guessing! If the link doesn't work (or if you don't wish to click on the link)- you can still place your guess -send your $5 to bellaemme at aol dot com and in the note section write in your guess (the date you think baby "E" will be born - NOT when I'll go into labor!!

Tuesday's Meme... Toot

Here's where I'm supposed to "toot" my own horn about something great about me..
This morning I woke up, and actually checked off most of my "To Do" list that got so neglected yesterday! My kitchen cabinets and drawers have all been cleaned and re organized. It feels great to have gotten that done. I feel like I have a ton of stuff to do before this baby arrives and NO TIME to do it in!
That's all for now! :)

Today I did...
Posting today, is taking quite a bit of effort. Feeling very tired, and I have a case of major allergies, so I'm going to keep it short and simple.
Here's what I did (or rather didn't do) today...
Made a "To Do" list
Continually put off doing things on said "To Do" list
Watched son play with neighbor in sandbox.
Made same neighbor super duper cute veil like thing to wear to her birthday. (If I do say so myself, it came out quite nice for a first try. Sometimes I really do surprise myself!)
Sat on couch and proceeded to fall asleep while son watched cartoons.
Woke up, and went out side with poor neglected son, who played with neighbor again.
Got sprayed from same neighbor child who took control of the garden hose.
Washed windows - well I sprayed them down with the hose.
Cleaned up kitchen (But no where near to the cleanliness that was described on my very neglected "To Do" list
Took Shower
Gave son Bath
Organized upstairs linen closet and tossed old medicines (at least I accomplished something today.)
Made son hot pocket and plum for dinner with lime aid. (Yes, poor little son is being neglected again.)
Ate hot pocket and plum with lime aid for dinner myself.
Saw laptop sitting on desk, and remembered my attempt to blog every day and came and sat down.
Now feeling very guilty, as the time it took me to write this silly list, I could've made son more decent dinner.
The fact that the word neglected appeared so much in this post is providing more reasons to feel guilty as not just precious little son is being "neglected" but so is entire house and all who dwell in it.
Ahchoo! :(

I feel human again!!
After four weeks of saying I was going to do something, I finally did it. I went and had a LONG overdo pedicure. I feel practically human again! Isn't it amazing how nice and clean one's feet can feel just after a really good pedicure? Especially since I can't reach my feet anymore, it was great to have the toes spiffed up again. Not to mention the wax treatment (pregnancy brain in full, gear here as I can't remember the name) and fabulous massage. I've decided that I will go again in two weeks time - (just in time for a certain someone's baby shower) so that they can remain nice and neat and not the monstrosity they were prior.
Well we're off to partake in our local big time small town festival - snickers... it's all the entertainment we've got!
Cheers!

The "Getter of Bugs"
It has officially been spring for a little over a month now, but its’ finally starting to look and feel like spring in my little spot of the world. I’ve quickly discovered that with the warm weather not only do bright blooms and green grass appear, but so do the bugs. Over the past couple of weeks I have become the “getter of bugs” if there’s a bug in the house my son will find it and call to me, “Mommy, come get the bug!” Eh??? Did I mention that I don’t particularly care for bugs; especially the kind with a bazillion legs, long antennae, and spiders. Shooing a fly or bumble bee is no problem for me, but the creepy crawlers… now that is another story all together. Yet, when my son calls me to come rescue a bug from the house, I do it in a calm matter of fact way. I have become the “getter of bugs”. I don’t know exactly when it happened, but at some point, this new role was given to me. I didn’t ask for it, but it is mine. I gladly accept.

Thinking about a Switch
I recently got into blogging. In my naivete I chose the first blogging sight I could find. Actually it was the first one my Google search provided me with. Since then I've learned a great deal about the blogging world... and I think I'm going to switch over to either Word Press or Type Pad or even get my own domain... I just find the Blogger format to be a bit to constrictive. Unless there's something about Blogger that I just don't know. My question is to all the other bloggers out there... which do you recommend.

Attention Camera Whores: Look Your Best In Photographs
As a self professed camera whore - I came across this article Looking Your Best In Photographs by Christina Jones and thought I'd share it for all the other camera whores out there. You know who you are!!!
Actually some of the tips are really good ones - and not just for those among us whom have never shied away from a camera lens. We all would like to photograph well and this article offers up some great advice on just how to do this. I already knew most of them as I was once a hopeful (ahh, the dreams of childhood) child model, a Baribzon School of Modeling graduate who dreamed of glitz and glamour, but never really pursued her dreams of acting and her name in lights. However, I did actually learn a lot of things that I still put into use today, like the secrets to taking a good photograph, proper etiquette, and especially the make-up tips have all come in handy. So my Mom’s hard earned cash wasn’t completely wasted.
Among the tips that Ms. Jones offers up include:
Smile in, not up. If you take your smile and bring it straight back it will prevent you from getting that spray of wrinkles around the eyes. The smiles with only the top teeth showing tend to be the most flattering.
Shoulders back, face forward and chin slightly down. This simple step will help you lose the dreaded double chin and if your shoulders are back, your arms look thinner.
Ms. Jones also lists mistakes that we make which can lead to a bad picture; it’s worth the read if photographing well is important to you. I know it is to me… yes that was a completely vain remark. One that I stand by!

Free Cycle - Going Green- Give What You Don't Want - Take What You Do
Awhile back I came across this website that I want to share. I think it’s a pretty cool concept and since going “Green” is so trendy important these days I thought it would be appealing to those trying to stay hip and cool in the “Green” spirit. Seriously – this is a cool concept, and it keeps stuff out of our landfills… for a bit longer anyway. It is important for all of us to be conscientious citizens of our planet, and this is one great way to do it.
The website is called FreeCycle and the premise is that instead of trashing something you don’t want any more but is still usable you offer it up for free.
Check it out at http://www.freecycle.org/
As with any website - where you have the potential of meeting people in real life - use caution and common sense!
